$100K Promotion

Submitted by on March 8, 2014 – 10:32 pmNo Comment

So more than a month has passed since my last post. I’ve been writing, but not posting. I’ll catch you up shortly.

Meanwhile, I wanted to share with you the why behind the lack of posts. One might think that I started on my quest, and gave up two days in. Truth is, I backburnered it to support another effort, which would, in the long run, support my trek to $100K.

Well, yesterday, I learned that my effort has paid off. I knew I was up for a promotion at work, and yesterday my boss let me know that my promotion had been approved.

As my son likes to say, mazel tov!

I’m still waiting to hear how much of a pay hike I’ll see, along with more on my new role and responsibilities. Looks like I’ll be picking up 3 additional direct reports. I’m hoping for a $20K pay increase, but perhaps that’s overly ambitious. We shall see.
