3 Ways to Show Gratitude

How do you show clients and colleagues gratitude?

How do you show clients and colleagues gratitude?

Showing gratitude can be one of the most overlooked, but essential parts of running a business. You may work tireless hours trying to build the perfect business from the ground up, but ask yourself this question: “Am I in this alone?” Chances are that the answer is 100% “no.” From co-owners, employees, to your customers and clients, it takes a lot of help to run a company. As a business owner, how do you show your clients and colleagues that you appreciate them?

3 Ways to Express Gratitude

  1. A handwritten thank you card. Don’t forget about snail mail! Block out some time to sit down and write out thank you cards by hand. You don’t need to use calligraphy or write anything fancy, but spend an extra minute personalizing it by referencing something specific to your working relationship. This will show you took the time to specifically think of them.
  2. A special discount or free product/service. Who doesn’t like a deal? Of course you don’t want to cut into your profit margin, but give your clients a token of your gratitude by offering an exclusive coupon or a small add-on.
  3. Give them recognition. Say a public, “Thanks!” Show your gratitude by giving a shout-out on your social media networks or in an e-newsletter or blog post. This doesn’t need to be anything fancy either, but if they also own a business make sure you share a link to their website.
