Choosing Your WordPress Theme

Submitted by on June 30, 2011 – 10:35 pmNo Comment

To select a WordPress theme for your site, first click the arrow in the Appearance drop down menu in the left hand navigation panel, then click on Themes.

WordPress Appearance Menu

You should see a number of WordPress themes to choose from. Below each theme you’ll find links to Activate, Preview or Delete.

To Preview a theme, click preview. If you like the way it looks, you can Activate it. To activate a theme, click Activate.

Now you can edit the appearance: change the background color, add a background image, or upload a custom header.

Note: If you change your theme, you’ll lose any edits you made to the theme you currently are using, such as a new background color, custom header, etc. After activating a new theme, you’ll have to go back and make these edits again.

More information on WordPress themes can be found here.
