How to Get Great Content
‘Content’ refers to the information, articles, links, images and videos, which you post on your company’s blog and social media. Content is important because it gives your followers something to engage with. If you have good content, people will spend more time interacting with your brand and you will make a lasting impression.
Some of the best content is very easy to get. So easy, that it doesn’t even come from you- it comes from your customers. A good customer testimonial makes for some of the best content out there. It’s personal, it promotes your business, and it’s fun for others to read.
If you don’t already have a stockpile of testimonials about your brand, do not fear. There are simple and easy ways to collect genuine testimonials from the customers you already have.
- Create a survey to single out your best customers- those that like you the best. Ask people to fill out a simple questionnaire that rates your business from 1 to 10, then ask those that rated you the highest for an interview.
- Throw a party or hold an event, and have somebody there to film people that are willing to say something good about your company on camera. Instant video testimonials!
- Search local pages like Yelp, Google Places and Yahoo Local for good reviews about your company and incorporate them into your content.
