Marketing Resources for Businesses

Submitted by on May 8, 2013 – 6:15 pmNo Comment

In today’s world, so many marketing resources are available that the number of different avenues that marketing efforts can take can overwhelm a company’s owner. In this blog post, I will try to help you find a starting place by discussing the top marketing resources out there.

Marketing options are now more versatile than ever. Which ones work best for your brand?

Marketing options are now more versatile than ever. Which ones work best for your brand?

Social Media

This may seem like a no-brainer, but a list of marketing resources needs to begin with social media. If your company does not yet have a presence on at least one top social media site (such as Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest), it needs to! Creating a profile is fast and easy, and it allows your company to market to an audience of millions. Keep in mind that social networks do require time and energy if you want to use them to market successfully. Posts and updates must be conducted on a regular basis and provide your audience with useful, relevant content. Each social site offers a unique way for your business to gain public attention, making them great marketing resources that can grow your brand without spending a ton of money.

Analytic Programs

No marketing resources list would be complete without analytic programs . They come in a variety of different software options that analyze Internet data, allowing your company to market effectively. For example, these programs help a business know which social media site would work best in reaching their target audience, and these programs can give feedback on what online marketing campaigns are working and which ones are not. The information that analytic programs can provide a company can go into fine-tuning its marketing approach on the web. Not sure which programs to use? Google Analytics is a great resource to start with, plus it’s free!

Mobile Marketing

Earlier I was saying how many marketing resources are available to businesses now-a-days, and this includes smartphones. Mobile devices offer lots of marketing resources for companies to take advantage of. For example, your company can place an ad on a popular and high-traffic website that people often visit on their smartphones, or create a Quick Response (QR) Code for people to even further interact with your company. Did you know it’s as simple as a Google search to create one of these handy codes?
